Building the Foundation

Introduction to full-contact football with an emphasis on skill development and game understanding.

Expanding player skills, game awareness, and preparing athletes for higher competition levels.

Varsity
(Ages 12-14)
High School Prep
Birthdate Range:

Highly competitive, preparing athletes for high school football with advanced techniques and strategy.
Swing Ages
Athletes may have the opportunity to play up a level based on weight and/or skill level. Coaches will evaluate and make recommendations accordingly.
Weight Exceptions
Weight guidelines exist, and accurate reporting during registration is required to ensure player safety and fair competition.
2026 Rules & Eligibility Changes
o Motion to increase X-Men weight from 230 to 260. (Locked in for 3 years).
o Motion to allow 12 year old 7th graders to be X-Men.
o JV & Varsity- Require proof of grade for all JV & Varsity players.
o Motion to add MHSAA 35 point rule into MYFCC rules along with giving the ball at the 50 yard line.
Equipment & Uniforms
All players will be required to have the following:
Helmet
shoulder pads
mouthguard
cleats
game uniform
